DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in Delaware County so you can start planning now.

Marple

The Marple Newtown Independence Day Parade 2021 be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 5. Marchers will begin at West Chester Pike, then go to St. Albans and Malin roads.

Newtown Square

Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is hosting a picnic and celebration on both July 3 and July 4. The days will feature demonstrations, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and more.

The Garrett Hill-Rosemont 4th of July Parade will take place at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, July 3 at the corner of Conestoga and Williams roads.

Children can also enjoy pony rides, petting zoo, exotic animals, trackless train, and rock wall.

Upper Darby

You can catch a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. on July 2 at the Upper Darby High School Baseball Field, 601 N. Lansdowne Ave. In the event of rain, fireworks will be rescheduled to July 9.

Aston

Fireworks will go off at dusk on July 4 at Sun Valley High School Athletic Fields, 2881 Pancoast Ave. in Aston.

Ridley Park

At dusk on July 3, Ridley Park Lake in Ridley Park will host a fireworks display. The park is located at West Ridley Avenue and Constitution Terrace.

Clifton Heights

The Clifton Heights Athletic Field, 217 N. Springfield Road, at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 will have a fireworks show. If the weather is inclement, the show will take place July 5.

Bethel

Fireworks will go off at dusk on July 3 at Bethel Springs Elementary School, 3280 Foulk Road in Garnet Valley. In the event of rain, the show will take place July 5.
