The Delaware County Symphony Offers FREE Instrument Petting Zoo

Nine classically trained musicians will explain and demonstrate to the children how their specific instruments sound!

The Delaware County Symphony in collaboration with the Marple Public Library invite all families to a free Instrument Petting Zoo for children. Nine classically trained musicians will explain and demonstrate to the children how their specific instruments: Flute, Violin, Viola, Bassoon, Cello, Oboe, French Horn, Bass, and Clarinet, individually sound and are uniquely used in classical music to make a full symphonic sound. The program will conclude with an ensemble performance of the ever popular Simple Gifts and the rousing The Saints Go March In so the children may hear the sounds of the instruments performing together. Children and parents are then encouraged to then mingle with the musicians to ask questions and see the instruments up close. Saturday, September 28 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon in the lower level community room. The program is free and open to the public. Marple Public Library, 2599 Sproul Road, Broomall PA .19008 https://marplelibrary.org/ 610-356-1510
