Delco Waitress Gets $5,000 Tip On $206 Bill

A waitress at Anthony's at Paxon Hollow was recently given a major tip from a generous customer.

BROOMALL, PA — A Delaware County waitress got quite the surprise from a very generous customer recently.

Anthony's at Paxon Hollow in Broomall on Saturday shared a photo of a meal receipt.

The bill's total was $205.94.

The tip however, was much more than the typical 15 to 20 percent.

Instead of a roughly $41 tip, the waitress, identified by Action News as Widener University freshman Gianna DiAngelo, was given a $5,000 tip.

"We have no words other than THANK YOU, Anthony's wrote on a social media post. "Unbelievable support for our staff here!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Thank you for helping our staff get though the holidays!! We LOVE and APPRECIATE you ALL!! We have the best community around!!"
