Delco's Boeing Wins $18.3M Special Operations Helicopter Contract
The Boeing Co. of Ridley Park was recently awarded an $18.3 million contract as part of the MH-47G helicopter production.
RIDLEY PARK, PA — Delaware County's Boeing Co. has secured a major contract to support the production of a helicopter, State Rep. Dave Delloso said.
Delloso announced The Boeing Co., of Ridley Park, was awarded an $18,372,000 to procure long lead components and parts in support of the production of the MH-47G helicopter.
The contract calls for Boeing to procure long lead components and parts in support of the production of the MH-47G helicopter.

"It was an honor to play a role in making this contract a reality, paving the way for The Boeing Company, located here at home in Ridley Park, to provide for the urgent needs and sustain U.S. Special Operations Forces," Delloso said. "This contract was needed because of the U.S. Special Operations Forces operational demand, and – I am proud to say – the majority of the work for this contract will be performed in our legislative district in Ridley Park."
MH-47G is a special operations variant of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

The MH-47G is used for heavy-lift missions, including but not limited to the transportation of troops, equipment and supplies.
It can safely navigate in adverse weather conditions during long-range and low-level missions.
