Driver Rescued From Vehicle After Early Morning Broomall Crash

Emergency responders spent about 40 minutes working to rescue a driver who was trapped in a crashed vehicle on West Chester Pike.

BROOMALL, PA — Rescue crews spent nearly an hour freeing a person trapped in a crashed vehicle early Wednesday morning in Broomall, according to the Broomall Fire Company.

The fire company said the crash occurred just before 2 a.m. at West Chester Pike and Raymond Road.

Crews found a vehicle on top of a guardrail and against a tree.

The driver was entrapped and crews spent about 40 minutes working to free the person.

After rescuing the driver, ambulance crews took the driver to a trauma center.

Two other people who were in the vehicle were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the fire company said.

Marple Township Police are investigating the crash.

West Chester Pike was closed for about two hours.
