Why are you seeking elective office?

My late father was a police officer (ret. Captain) for the Lower Merion police department. He always encouraged the importance of public service, so when a friend encouraged me to run for Township Supervisor, I felt the call to serve my community.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

In my opinion, the most pressing issue facing Newtown Township is the lack of and the proposed destruction of open green spaces for residents to enjoy. I would act as a balance to the board's enthusiasm to approve the over-development of Newtown Square and take into account concerns of traffic and water runoff.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

As the board stands now, there are no Democrat members. However, demographically there is a substantial amount of Democrats living in Newtown Square, and they deserve representation. I feel the board can do much more with our tax dollars to improve and maintain existing infrastructure, including green spaces, sewer, and traffic management.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

I believe that access to voting locations and mail-in ballot boxes are essential to all residents, especially our seniors. In last year's election, not only were there fewer voting locations, but Mike Russo voted against having a mail-in dropbox.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I would like to see the township become more “bike friendly” and walkable.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I started and successfully ran a residential and commercial cleaning business for the last 17 years.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Holding on to anger or resentment hurts yourself and solves nothing.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I was born and raised in Newtown Square, currently living on the same street I grew up on, and even have the same mailman. I have two rescue dogs, Murphy and Harley.
