Final Snow Totals In Broomall, Newtown Township: How Much Fell?
Wednesday brought the largest winter storm in some time to Broomall and Newtown Township.
BROOMALL-NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Broomall and Newtown Township areas received about 5 inches of snow during Wednesday's Nor'easter, the largest snowfall accumulation in the area in years, according to the National Weather Service.
Snowfall totals in Delaware County from the storm average about 4.88 inches, with final reports varying from between 3 and 6.5 inches.
In Broomall, the National Weather Service reported 4.3 inches.

And in Newtown Township, officials reported 5.5 inches.
The final accumulation falls short of the more bullish forecasters, who saw the county getting eight inches on the short end and up to 14 inches at the high end.

Residents are reminded to make sure they clear the areas around fire hydrants when out shoveling.
Despite the heavy snowfall, very few power outages were reported Thursday morning, according to PECO. Additionally, there are no major road closures.
