Free Services Available To Help Delco Recover From Storm Damage
Anyone who suffered any damaged from Tropical Storm Isaias last week should call the Voluntary Agencies Active In Disasters for assistance.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County residents who suffered from Tropical Storm Isaias may be eligible for free assistance.
County officials have been working side by side with a group of nonprofits and volunteers called Voluntary Agencies Active In Disasters (VOAD). Anyone who has suffered any damaged from the storm should call 1-844-965-1386.
Some services from the groups include cutting fallen trees, removing damaged appliances, mitigating mold, tarping roofs, and more.

It's not guaranteed that help will be provided in every circumstance, as the groups could quickly become overwhelmed and lack the required resources to assist, officials noted.

Residents should contact their municipalities regarding any damage from the storm. Cataloging damages is vital in case the state or county get additional emergency funds to help recover from the storm, and can offer relief.
The storm resulted in major flooding across Delaware County, with torrential rainfall and high winds destroying property, bringing down trees and wires, and leaving hundreds of thousands without.
