Historic Newtown Square Day Bringing Colonial Days Back To Life
The 24th annual event will feature beekeeping, colonial music, a blacksmith demonstration, food, farm animals, and much more.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — June 1 will mark the 24th Annual Historic Newtown Square Day, and the event will be complete with historic demonstrations, lessons, foods, and more.
The day begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. at the 1742 Square Tavern on Saturday, June 1.
There is no admission charge activities or any of the historic sites.

Attendees will see many historic and colonial features at the event.
Those include the 1st Continental Regiment of Foot encampment showing life as it was for colonial soldiers during the Revolutionary War; Lenni Lenape Native Americans; colonial music and colonial storytelling; sheep shearing; beekeeping; basket weaving; a blacksmith demonstration; and much more.

Historic properties such as the 1828 Paper Mill House Museum, the 1711 Friends Meeting House, the 1842 Octagonal School House, the 1860 Bartram Covered Bridge, the Garrett Williamson Barn, and the 1895 Railroad Museum will be open with on-site guides and activities.
The local 4-H will show off their farm skills and animals at the Garrett-Williamson Barn and the Garret Williamson Mansion will be open for guided tours
The St. Alban’s Model Railroad Club, located in the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on Chapel Road, will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to the activities and demonstrations, attendees can sample Tavern Food and Thomas Jefferson Ice Cream.
