I-476, US 1 Affected By Overnight Work This Week In Delco
PennDOT crews will be doing guardrail work on both highways this week, forcing intermittent lane closures overnight through late February.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Traffic on Interstate 476 and U.S. Route 1 in Delaware County will be impacted by PennDOT work overnight this week, according to the department.
PennDOT said intermittent overnight lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 for guide rail repair, PennDOT said.
The periodic lane closures will be in place Sundays through Fridays from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning through late February.

On I-476, lane closures will affect both directions between the I-95 interchange and the Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor townships.
And on U.S. 1, both directions will have lane closures. The affected area is between the Chester County line and the Montgomery County line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfield, Marple, Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord and Birmingham townships and Chester Heights Borough.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
