Major Power Outages In Newtown Square, Marple: PECO
The nor'easter that is tearing through the region is causing power outages for hundreds of residents in Newtown Square and Marple.

More than 2,800 people in the Newtown Square and Marple areas are experiencing power outages due to the harsh weather that is gripping the region as a nor'easter dumps snow, rain, and strong winds on the area.
According to PECO's outage map, roughly 601 Newtown Square-area customers experienced power outages due to Friday's storm.
In Marple, more than 2,270 customers are without power.

PECO is reporting more than 22,343 Delaware County customers have seen power outages Friday, March 2 as of 4 p.m.

Wind gusts of up to 60 mph were expected, as well as rain and wet snow, along with flooding risks.
The storm has already caused impacts in the Philadelphia area. SEPTA is reporting several delays. Hundreds of flights out of Philadelphia International Airport are also delayed or canceled. Travelers should check with their carrier before departing to the airport.
