Man Admits To 'Snooping' In Car, Nothing Stolen: Police

The suspect is described as a white man with a beard.

MARPLE, PA — Police in Marple are calling on the public to help identify a man who admitted to "snooping" in someone's vehicle just before midnight on Monday.

Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Candlewood Drive around 11:16 p.m. after a resident noticed a man had entered a vehicle parked in his or her driveway, police said in a news release.

The resident told authorities the man had a beard and was wearing a Flyers hat, long-sleeve shirt and jeans. Police said when the man was confronted, he admitted to snooping in the car.

Police said the man then ran off toward Rose Tree Woods Swim Club.

Nothing was stolen from the vehicle, police said. No other cars in the area were broken into.
