Man Attacked Woman With Golf Club: Marple Township Police
Police charged a 30-year-old Lansdowne man with aggravated assault and related crimes after they said he attacked a woman with a golf club.
MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Marple Township Police have charged a man after they said he assaulted a woman with a golf club and fists.
According to police, Timothy Matthews, 30, of Lansdowne, has been charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment.
Police were called to the 3000 block of Lovell Avenue on June 23 for a physical domestic incident.

A woman with blood on her hands and face spoke to police, who eventually determined Matthews as the alleged attacker.
Matthews was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of $120,000 bail, court records show.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 8.
