Marple Newtown Youth Rec Center Opens Sept 27

Each Friday, kids can enjoy activities in a safe and supervised setting at the Marple Newtown Youth Recreation Center.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — A youth recreation center is opening in Newtown Square in September for kids in Marple and Newtown to stay active and have fun.

The Marple Newtown Youth Recreation Center will open its doors at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Gauntlett Community Center, 20 S. Media Line Road in Newtown Square.

Kids in grades 5 through 8 can participate in activities at the center, which will be open on Fridays during the school year — Sept. 27 through March 20 — from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Kids will be able to enjoy a variety of activities in a safe and supervised environment at the center.

Marple and Newtown township residents can get memberships for just $15. Non residents can sign up for $25.

Registration is available online here beginning Sept. 3.

It costs $10 per night to get in to the center.

Those coming to the center should use the gymnasium entrance
