Marple Township Enacting Snow Emergency Tuesday Through Thursday

BROOMALL, PA – Marple Township is declaring a snow emergency Tuesday night due to the coming storm that is set to bring more harsh winter weather to the region Wednesday.
The emergency will be in effect from 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 through 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8.
The township said crews will be collecting recycling unless weather conditions significantly impact travel.

During the Snow Emergency, parking is prohibited on all roads designated as Snow Emergency Routes and in all cul-de-sacs.

Township plowing crews will be working throughout the storm and their priority will be to keep a single lane of traffic open on every road in the township if possible, according to the township.
Residents are asked not to park on streets, avoid traveling during the storm, and not to throw or plow snow back into the street when clearing sidewalks or driveways.

Once the snow has stopped, the township hopes to have all township roads and cul-de-sacs clear within 18 to 24 hours.
Any resident experiencing an emergency should call 911.
