Mass Vaccination Clinic Could Come To Delco Community College

"While the DCCC campus is anticipated to be such a site, no final decisions have been made," officials said Thursday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A mass coronavirus vaccination clinic could be coming to a Delaware County Community College campus, but officials said no plans have been set.

In a news release Thursday, county officials said news reports have prematurely reported a Delaware County Community College campus will serve as a mass vaccination site.

But despite the reports being premature per the county, officials said a campus of the college is an anticipated coronavirus vaccination clinic site, but which campus is unclear at the moment.

No final decisions on a clinic at the campus have been made.

Officials said should the campus be used as a vaccination site, Delaware County Community College would only serve as the host and would not be involved in the site's operation, administering vaccines, or scheduling appointments.

The college would have no ability to help residents secure appointments should it be chosen.

Officials said starting next week, Delaware County residents in Phases 1A and 1B who are interested in getting the vaccination through the county will be directed to schedule an appointment though the county's website here.

Once 1B individuals are eligible and the county has open appointments on the books after getting doses delivered by the state, appointments will be made available online.

Residents in Phase 1A who previously preregistered with the county should check their email inboxes for the latest email from Delaware County, which will include newly opened appointments. These appointments are available now.

Residents are reminded that more than 30 active vaccination sites are operational in Delaware County, including county-operated or partnered sites in Aston, Chester, Springfield, Radnor, and Yeadon.
