Marple Newtown Senior Who Popped Surprise Prom Proposal Takes His Girl To Prom

Wil Kauffman, a Marple Newtown High School senior, finally took his girl to prom after surprising her with a prom proposal in March.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–On Saturday, June 9, senior finally took "his girl" to prom, which was held at Drexelbrook Banquet Facilities.

On March 9, Kauffman with 10 of his buddies to his girlfriend Megan Weinberg during Julie McFarlane's first period AP Physics class.

Kauffman wore a pair of sunglasses and sang "My Girl" in a capella style with his 10 friends. Kauffman–with flowers in hand–dropped down to one knee and asked Weinberg to prom. Her obvious answer: "yes."

Kauffman's YouTube prom proposal video went viral, tipping off local radio station about the surprise proposal.
