Murder Charge Filed In Shooting Death Of Delco Teen
David Cobb, 20, is accused of shooting 14-year-old Barry Mills Jr. in the head on Feb. 21, killing him.

CHESTER, PA — The man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy in Delaware County.
District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said David Cobb, 20, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, third-degree murder, and gun crimes.
Cobb is accused of shooting Barry Mills Jr., 14, on Feb. 21.

Chester Township Police were called to 1905 Tolston Street in Chester Township for a report of a shooting.
Officers found Mills with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he succumbed to his injuries.

Mills's death was ruled a homicide by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers interviewed witnesses, each of whom was able to identify the shooter as Cobb. One witness said that he had accompanied the Mills to the location of the shooting to wish a friend a happy birthday.
The witness said Cobb started "joking around," and pointed the rifle at the victim and said, "give me your phone," authorities said.
The witness then heard a loud "boom" and heard Cobb say "Oh my God! I didn’t mean to do it!"
A second witness stated that shortly after the incident, he overheard Cobb on the phone saying he
was sorry and that it was an accident.
Cobb turned himself in on March 10.
He is being held without bail at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility. His preliminary hearing date is March 25.
