New Broomall Giant Opening Friday: What To Know

BROOMALL, PA — Broomall is getting a new Giant grocery store Friday, Dec. 6, complete with a grand opening event featuring deals for shoppers.
The new 74,000-square-foot Giant at 2180 West Chester Pike in Broomall will open at 8 a.m. Friday.
A ribbon cutting will be held at 7:40 a.m.

The first 200 customers in line will receive a Giant reusable shopping bag filled with product samples, 200 Giant Choice Rewards points, and other grand opening savings.
At the grand opening, Giant will announce a total of $5,000 in donations to local community organizations including:

This new store will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
The new Broomall store will offer an expanded farm fresh produce department with more than 350 fresh produce items, including a variety of organic and local items. The produce department will also have, in-store cut fruit, fresh squeezed juice, a smoothie bar, kombucha taps and an expanded salad bar.
In addition, the new store will feature a full-service deli with a selection of grab and go meals, made to order sandwiches and salads and an expanded hot food offering that includes a barbecue station featuring meats that are smoked in-store daily.
The deli will also feature an in-store charcuterie station, local fresh and frozen pasta and artisan cheeses, as well as a mozzarella station featuring cannoli and other fresh products from Spring Grove, Pennsylvania-based Caputo Brothers Creamery.
The meat and seafood departments will offer a wide selection of fresh fish, USDA Prime and Nature's Promise meats as well as a selection of dry aged beef cut to order.
Its full-service bakery will offer artisan breads, cakes, donuts, and other decadent dessert favorites and an eye-catching floral department will offer fresh-cut flowers and lovely arrangements available in the front of the store.
A Beer & Wine Eatery will also be part of the new Giant. It will be stocked with a selection of more than 300 varieties of beer and wine, with a focus on Pennsylvania craft beer and intriguing wine selections. The Beer & Wine Eatery will include a Mix-a-Six case, where customers can mix and match to find new favorites. Customers are welcome to pull up a chair in the Beer & Wine Eatery to enjoy fresh-made fare including meal combos, sandwiches, wraps, subs, salads, sushi and a hot bar. The new eatery seats 30 and will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
There will also be a full-service pharmacy within the store and pharmacists will be available seven days a week to fill prescriptions and offer expert advice. As partners in good health, Giant pharmacists can administer vaccines, suggest the right over-the-counter medications and help manage prescriptions.
The new Broomall store also offers catering options with Entertaining by Giant. Pulling off a holiday celebration has never been easier with fresh in-store hand-crafted sandwiches, wings, salads, appetizers, entrees, sides, cakes, desserts and more.
Busy customers can choose to visit in-store or order their groceries online for delivery or easy curbside pick-up with Giant Direct.
