Newtown Square Brewfest Features Beer, Music, Food, And Running

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Beer lovers, music lovers, food lovers, and fitness lover, rejoice: The annual Pints in the Square Craft Brew Fest and 5K is returning to Newtown Square and you can get tickets now.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Ellis Preserve, 3801 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square.

The event will feature beers from more than 30 local and regional craft brewers, including 2SP, Sly Fox, Manayunk Brewing Company, Yards, and more.

The seven food vendors include Fellini Cafe, Hog Face BBQ, The Hangover Pretzel Company.

Blue Rooted and Hop Hedz will be selling various apparel at the event, as well, with Hop Hedz' products being geared toward craft beer enthusiasts.

Performances by TJ Fry, Jeff Greco Acoustic, and Bross and Carroll will entertain crowds while the sip and snack.

And for all the runners out there, the 5K race starts at 11 a.m. with onsite registration opening at 9 a.m.

The run will be chip-timed by Run the Day.

An awards ceremony will begin at 11:45 a.m. sharp and entry into the fest begins at noon.

All ages are welcome for the race and who registers by Aug. 15 is guaranteed a T-shirt. Later entries will receive a shirt while supplies last. Please note, shirts will not be mailed.

Runners have the option to purchase combo tickets for brew fest or designated driver. A limited number of designated driver tickets are available. All designated drivers will be provided with complimentary water and Victory craft root beer.

All Beer Fest and Combo ticket holders will receive a tasting glass with access to unlimited beer tastings, live music, and local food vendors.

Prices are:

• Early Bird 5k Registration (no brew fest entry) (Individual) – $25
• Early Bird Combo 5k Registration and Brew Fest Ticket (Individual) – $65.00
• Early Bird Brew Fest Ticket Only (Individual) – $45
• Designated Driver (Individual) – $10
• Early Bird 5k Registration and Designated Driver (Individual) – $35.00

Prices increase Aug. 1.

No rollerblades, bicycles, weapons or pets are permitted on site. Alcohol is not permitted outside the fenced brew fest area.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Newtown Square Fire Company.

The 5K and festival will be held rain or shine.
