Newtown Square Field Hockey Star Earns Rookie Of The Year Honor

Corrine Zanolli was a standout player at Episcopal Academy, and her prowess hasn't wavered while representing Stanford University.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – A local woman who was a standout field hockey player at Episcopal Academy was recently named rookie of the year in her collegiate conference.

Corinne Zanolli, of Newtown Square, earned the high honor of being named the America East Field Hockey Conference Rookie of the Year.

Zanolli plays for Stanford University where she is a freshman and was also named the America East All Rookie and All Conference teams for her efforts on the field.

Additionally, she was previously named Rookie of the Week three times by the conference during the season.

A graduate of Episcopal Academy and member of the US U21 National team and the US Women's National Indoor team, Zanolli led the Stanford field hockey team in goals, assists and points for the season.
