Overnight Paving Work To Affect West Chester Pike Traffic

Work will force lanes to close in both directions Sunday through Friday next week in Newtown Township, PennDOT said.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — West Chester Pike in Newtown Square will continue to be restricted for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county Philadelphia region, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, West Chester Pike/Route 3 will have lane closures in both directions overnight next week.

The work will begin Sunday.

Each day through Friday, April 30, the road will have lanes closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The affected area is between College and Bryn Mawr avenues.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
