PA High School Athletic Ranks: Marple Newtown HS

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Niche.com’s rankings for best high schools for athletes are out, and the results are good for Marple Newtown High School.

The school was ranked the 21st best high school for athletes in Pennsylvania.

Nearby Haverford High School was ranked 61st and Springfield High School 59th.

Other local schools that were ranked well include Lower Merion High School which took the top honors as the best school for athletes in PA, Coatesville (4th), Harriton (5th) Spring-Ford (6th), and Radnor (9th).

The ranking takes five factors into account, including a parent/student survey on school sports, the number of sports offered, the participation of girls, and, separately, the participation of boys, and expenses per student. Data is collected from Niche.com users, the National Center for Education Statistics, and the Civil Rights Data Collection service.

The number one ranked school in the nation was Illinois’ Adlai E. Stevenson High School.
