PECO will also give away 20 trees to Delaware County.

The giveaway is part of Arbor Day Foundation's Energy Saving Trees program, which helps people save energy costs by offering trees for properties.

The foundation says a strategically placed tree can save homeowners up to 20 percent on their summer energy bills.

Trees will also have other benefits to homeowners, the foundation said.

"They also provide tangible benefits for the entire community: improved air quality, reduced stormwater runoff, beautification of your neighborhood, reduced urban heat island effect, and a smaller carbon footprint, just to name a few," according to the foundation's website.
