PECO Work To Affect Newtown Traffic Through Mid March

PECO will be doing utility work on a portion of West Chester Pike in Newtown Township weekdays through mid March, PennDOT said.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures in Newtown Township through mid March.

According to PennDOT, West Chester Pike/Route 2 in Newtown Township will have lanes closed weekdays through Friday, March 12.

The closures will be in effect weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will affect traffic in both directions.

PennDOT said the affected area is between St. Albans Avenue and Charles Ellis Lane.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
