Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Hogan: I am a competitive person that loves the fast-paced environment of the new construction industry. Purchasing a home is an emotional experience. Supporting someone through the sales process while navigating the sophisticated design trends to help them find their dream home is very rewarding. After graduating from Bethany College, I started working for a national builder to gain sales experience. It was at that time that I fell in love with the home-building industry. I now absolutely love working for a small local builder. I am fortunate to work for a company that places a priority on quality workmanship, integrity and giving back to the community.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Hogan: Superior craftsmanship in exceptional locations.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?
Hogan: 2020 — This year has been full of challenges due to the global health pandemic. We have been forced to navigate local government shutdowns, huge spikes with material costs, new protocols and procedures to help safely meet our customers' needs, and so many other things we've never experienced before. However, even in the midst of these challenges, the housing market has been thriving and our team remains committed to providing the best home-buying experience we can for our customers.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Hogan: I love seeing the progression from the original concept and vision of a community evolve into a finished neighborhood with happy homeowners that will enjoy it for years to come!
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Hogan: Rockwell Custom focuses on finding superb land in the best locations to build. The culture Greg Lingo has created and cultivated among Rockwell’s team centers around a sense of community, purpose and generosity to others.
Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
Hogan:
- Treat people how you want to be treated.
- The most talented people are not always the most successful.
- 10 things that require zero talent: Being on time, effort, energy, positive attitude, good body language, work ethic, being coachable, doing extra, being prepared and passionate.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?
Hogan: We are currently finishing up two local projects (Newtown Walk at Ellis Preserve and Carriages at Runnymeade Farms) and launching a gorgeous new site (Ventry at Edgmont Preserve) located on the former Edgmont Country Club property. The views are spectacular. Be sure to come visit while we are still selling at pre-construction prices.
Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?
Hogan: Due to COVID-19, unfortunately, large events are on hold. We have private appointments available during the week and open house hours every weekend from 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. Next month, we are launching our newest townhome community in Phoenixville. The community is called Steelpointe and is walkable to Bridge Street.
