See Broomall's Snowfall Totals So Far

Snowfall has barely let up since Sunday afternoon in the Philadelphia region, with some areas receiving more than 30 inches of snow.

BROOMALL, PA — Snow has been falling in the Philadelphia region since Sunday afternoon, leaving some areas with more than 30 inches of snow.

Up in Springtown, Bucks County, the National Weather service reports 31.2 inches as of 8 a.m., which is the highest total in the five-county Philadelphia region.

But what is the latest total in Broomall as snow continues to fall Tuesday?

According to a National Weather Service report issued at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Broomall was recorded as having 6.4 inches at 11:58 p.m. Monday. That total was reported by a member of the public.

Chadds Ford Township has the highest snow accumulation total in Delaware County with 7.6 inches reported at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday.

Below are all available National Weather Service snow totals for Delaware County as of Tuesday morning:

  • Chadds Ford Township — 7.6 inches 8:35 a.m. Tuesday (Public)
  • Broomall — 6.4 inches at 11:58 p.m. Monday (Public)
  • Upper Chichester Township — 5.7 inches at 5:07 a.m. Tuesday (Trained Spotter)
  • Glen Mills — 5.0 inches at 11:07 p.m. Monday (Public)

PennDOT lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on the U.S. 30 Bypass and U.S. 422 in the Philadelphia region.

Earlier Tuesday morning, speeds were also restored to their usual posted limits on the following roadways:

  • I-76, I-95, I-295, I-476 and I-676;
  • U.S. Routes 1, 202; and
  • State Routes 63, 100 Spur and 309.
