Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Saturday
The severe thunderstorm watch, issued by the National Weather Service, is in effect until 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Saturday for Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Chester counties.
The area can expect to see showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. According to the NWS, some storms could be severe, with damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible, the NWS said.
In addition, showers and thunderstorms are expected before 11 p.m. Saturday, according to the NWS. And another chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

The evening showers will include gusty and damaging winds, heavy rain and frequent lighting, according to the NWS.
