Time Names Mo'ne Davis Among Its Most Influential
The Philly phenom is in impressive company on the magazine's list of 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014.

Time thinks Mo’ne Davis is pretty influential.
That will come as no surprise to the countless fans in the region who watched Mo’ne, 13, and the Tanney Dragons climb the Little League ladder all summer long. The Dragons finally fell to Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West, but not before garnering publicity and praise from around the country.
During the Dragons’ meteoric rise, Mo’ne became the first Little Leaguer ever to make the cover of Sports Illustrated.

“Last week, this week, maybe next week, she’s owned the sports conversation,” Sports Illustrated managing editor Chris Stone said in a piece posted on SI.com explaining the decision to make Mo’Ne the cover.
This week, Time named Mo’ne to its list of the 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014.

“Many hope [Mo’ne] will be a role model for girls in sports, especially those that are typically male-dominated,” Time said.
Mo’ne is in impressive company: Also on the list are Sasha and Malia Obama and Malala Yousafzai.
