Wawa Wins Liquor License In Delaware County

Wawa won a bid for a Delaware County liquor license, likely meaning one of its Delco stores will sell beer in the near future.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County Wawa is about to get boozy after it recently won a bid for a liquor license.

Wawa in Middletown Township won a bid for the liquor license Friday with a $160,357 bid.

However, there is no Wawa in Middletown proper.

Action News reports Wawa officials said there are no specific plans they can share about the news.

The Chadds Ford Wawa is the only location in Pennsylvania that sells beer.

In addition to the Delco Wawa getting the license, Wawa in Philadelphia won a bid.

A $186,357 bid won an undisclosed Wawa location in Philadelphia a liquor license, as well.
