West Chester Pike Lanes Closing Overnight This Week
A portion of West Chester Pike in Newtown Township will have lane closures in both directions due to restoration and resurfacing work.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — West Chester Pike in Newtown Township will have lane closures overnight this week due to restoration and resurfacing operations in the Philadelphia region, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, crews will be working on several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county Philadelphia region this week.
In Newtown, crews will be working along West Chester Pike/Route 3.

Work will take place overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
The affected portion of West Chester Pike is between College and Bryn Mawr avenues.

Crews will be forced to close lanes in both directions on the road, PennDOT said.
Work will last through Friday.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
