Young Delco Baseball Player Makes 'SportsCenter' Top 10
A 9-year-old ballplayer from Marple got some national props from ESPN for his quick-thinking baserunning skills.
MARPLE, PA — A young baseball player from Delaware County was featured on the nation's most popular sports program Monday night for his stellar baserunning skills.
Delco's Shaun Kemble, 9, made it to the Top 10 plays segment on ESPN's flagship show "Sportscenter."
According to Action News, Kemble was playing for the Marple Township Little League 9U Team when he was nearly thrown out at home.

But, the 9-year-old had other plans.
As Kemble ran toward home and saw the opposing catcher — who was playing for Brookline, per Action News — getting ready to tag him out at home.

Taking a note from hurdlers, Kemble leaped over the catcher and landed safely at home, earning his team a run.
The jump not only landed him at home, it landed him at No. 6 on the Top 10 for July 1.
Well done, Shaun. We're willing to bet you'll be running bases at Citizens Bank Park in the future.
