Newtown’s annual Music in the Park event is Friday. The event, hosted by Newtown Borough’s recreation board, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Linton Memorial Park on Lincoln Ave.

Doylestown Arts Festival

The 24th annual Doylestown Arts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will be held rain or shine. It will feature a juried selection of more than 160 artists.

Newtown Grant Garage Sale

The annual sale, an attraction for bargain hunters, will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the neighborhood’s recreation center, 360 Eagle Road. The rain date is Sunday, Sept.13.

9/11 Garden of Reflection 5K

Food Preservation Workshop

The Bucks County Foodshed Alliance and the Bucks County chapter of Buy Fresh Buy Local will host “Fearless Food Preservation,” a workshop showing participants up-to-date methods to safely can, freeze and ferment food. The event is Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm at the Plumsteadville Grange, 5901 Old Easton Road, Plumsteadville.
