Changes To Northampton Town-Wide Yard Sale Schedule

The wet forecast has prompted some changes to the schedule for the Northampton community-wide yard sale. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch across Eastern Pennsylvania through Saturday evening.

The Northampton Yard Sale will be extended to included Sunday, May 20 and/or Saturday, May 26, Northampton Township Parks and Rec has announced. Dates are at the discretion of the sellers.

Sellers can still sell Saturday if they choose, but in addition, the sale days will also include Sunday, May 20 and next Saturday, May 26. "These dates are at your discretion. If you want to sell on any/all days, just put out your yard sign on that day," a memo from Parks and Rec to the sellers explains.

According to the NWS, "widespread" showers are expected through Saturday. Additional rainfall amounts of one to four inches are expected over the next 72 hours. Locally higher amounts over five inches are possible in slow-moving thunderstorms, the NWS said. Click here for the full forecast.
