Drunk Woman Strangled Friend, Spit On Cops: Police

RICHBORO, PA — An intoxicated woman in Richboro strangled a friend, then spit on police officers and fought with EMS workers while they were trying to give her medical help, according to Northampton Township Police.
At about 7:39 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to Holly Hill Road in Richboro. There, they met with a woman who said a female friend tried to strangle her and destroy her house.
Officers detained Sammari M. Gonzalez, 21, who they say was trying to leave the home through the back yard.

While officers were trying to give medical treatment to Gonzalez — who they say was intoxicated at the time — they say she became combative and started spitting on officers and attacking EMS workers.
After she was treated, Gonzalez was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, strangulation and recklessly endangering another person. She was being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
