Newtown Arts Company Holding Auditions for 'The 39 Steps'
Auditions for this comedic send up of Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film classic will be held June 24 and 27.

Newtown Arts Company is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Patrick Barlow’s “The 39 Steps.”
Auditions will be held Wednesday, June 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 27 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Newtown United Methodist Church, 35 Liberty Street, Newtown.
Callbacks are Tuesday, June 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. Performances will be held on October 15 to 21 at Newtown Theatre.

The production is a comedic send up of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film classic based on the John Buchan novel.
Newtown Arts Company is seeking four versatile actors (three men, one woman) with abilities in physical comedy. “Farce and an aptitude for dialects are encouraged to audition for this fast-paced, high-energy production directed by Jim Banar,” Newtown Arts Company said in an announcement.

To audition, you’ll participate in character monologues, cold readings and improvisations from the script. “Dress comfortably for movement. Bring photos and resumes,” Newtown Arts Company said.
