Northampton Buildings, Facilities Closed Through March
New coronavirus concerns led Northampton officials to close government buildings and cancel activities until March 30.
NORTHAMPTON, PA — Northampton Township officials announced the closure Friday of most government buildings and facilities through the end of March due to concerns about the spread of the new coronavirus.
In response to Gov. Tom Wolf's disaster emergency proclamation, the township announced the following buildings and facilities will be closed until at least March 30:
- Northampton Township Adminstration Building, 55 Township Rd.
- Northampton Township Senior Center, 165 Township Rd.
- Northampton Township Free Library, 25 Upper Holland Rd.
- Northampton Township Parks & Recreation Center, 345 Newtown-Richboro Rd.
- All township athletic fields, outdoor restrooms and facilities

All township board, commission, and committee meetings are canceled until March 30 as well.
All township-sponsored programs, workshops and special events also are canceled through that time. That includes the Northampton Township Police Department open house planned for March 28.

"Please be assured that your police, fire and EMS responers in Northampton Township will be there for you," the township said in a news release.
