NORTHAMPTON, PA — Northampton Township's parks and recreation department is offering free virtual classes and weekly family activities in response to the coronavirus shutdown.

With the help of instructors, many of whom are donating their time, Northampton officials say they're working to be of service to the community during what is a difficult time for many.

Over the past week, the parks and recreation team launched several exercise programs for adults and a few for children, including barre classes, yoga classes, Zumba and other dance fitness classes, which can be accessed via Zoom or Facebook Live.
