Public Hearing On Rolling Hills Elementary Closure Scheduled
The public hearing on the closure of Rolling Hills Elementary will be held Sept. 12, the Council Rock School District has announced.
A public hearing regarding the proposed closure of Rolling Hills Elementary School will be held Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m., the Council Rock School District has announced. The public hearing will be held in the Board Room at The Chancellor Center.
The proposal, which has been verbally supported by a majority of the board during capital planning discussions over the summer, would close Rolling Hills Elementary School effective for the 2019-20 school year.
"This hearing must be held in order for Rolling Hills Elementary School to be allowed to close as a school; following the hearing, a three-month waiting period will ensue before the School Board is permitted to formally vote on the closure of the school," the district said in an announcement.
