Village Renaissance Faire: What You Need To Know

The 16th annual Village Renaissance Faire is Sept. 19 and 20 at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds in Wrightstown.

A popular Bucks County event is just weeks away.

The Village Library of Wrightstown’s 16th Annual Renaissance Faire, a two-day community celebration featuring hands-on learning experiences, interactive play, workshops and crafts, will be held Sept 19 and 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is held at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Rd, Wrightstown. Proceeds from the faire benefit the Village Library of Wrightstown. Admission is $5 a person; children 5 and younger are free.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Flying Birds of Prey at noon and 4 p.m. daily
  • Armored horseback Jousting twice daily
  • Aerialist and fire breather
  • Authentic food and period merchants
  • Carriage rides, pony rides, and petting zoo
  • Free children’s crafts, games, and interactive play
  • Human chess, working Trebuchet catapult and other weapons of war
  • Merlin’s Mystical World of Captured Air (a.k.a. inflatables for modern sorts)
  • Juggling, puppetry and marionettes
  • Medieval gaming glen, thrown weapons, fight-a-knight and more
  • Visual artists, working artisans, and blacksmith
  • Eight stages of live music, dance, and theatre
  • Live steel, fencing, and archery, living history and demonstrating artisans

Organizers expect more than 9,000 people will attend.
