Washington Crossing Park to Host Charter Day Celebration
Charter Day marks the date 334 years ago when England's King Charles II signed the original Charter of Pennsylvania.

Washington Crossing Historic Park will reopen for the spring season on Sunday, March 8. To mark the occassion, the park will host a Charter Day celebration.
Charter Day marks the date 334 years ago when England’s King Charles II signed the original Charter of Pennsylvania, which granted William Penn the land that is now Pennsylvania, according to information from the park.
To celebrate, the park will offer free tours and admission to Bowman’s Hill Tower and the Thompson-Neely House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will also be blacksmithing demonstrations, military drilling by Revolutionary War reenactors and an 18th century chocolate making demonstration in the Hibbs House.
Washington Crossing Park is located at 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing.
