5k To Honor Local Girl Stabbed To Death By Perkiomen Valley Student
Julianne Siller, of Royersford, was tragically killed the spring before her freshman year of college.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- In the spring of 2013, Spring-Ford senior Julianne Siller had everything ahead of her.
She planned to spend her summer working at The Lite Choice ice cream shop in Upper Providence and at a Gap store in the Limerick Outlets, and then she’d be off to Penn State in the fall.
That plan died with her when she was stabbed to death in the dark woods of Palmer Park. Siller’s boyfriend Tristan Stahley, 16, who formerly attended Perkiomen Valley High School, stabbed her repeatedly and left her body along a wooded trail around 10 p.m., authorities allege.

Stahley has since been sentenced to life in prison for his actions.
But Siller's memory lives on. A memorial run in her name and benefiting a scholarship fund for Spring-Ford students is set for Sunday, May 1.

"With 2016 marking this event's 3rd year, all proceeds directly fund the Julianne Siller Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to provide a constant source of funding, for Spring-Ford seniors, to be used for college or vocational training," the event website states.
