UPDATE: Pennsylvania School District Shooting Threat Not Credible, Classes To Resume Tuesday
The school will resume after school activities today and school will open Tuesday, according to the district.

A school district in Pennsylvania has closed schools after a reported shooting threat was issued, but Pennsylvania State Police said the threat was not credible and the district said the person who posted the threat on social media has bee identified.
The Upper Perkiomen School District announced Monday afternoon that the person who made the threat has been identified. The district also said after school activities will resume Monday and school will be in session Tuesday.
"At this time, the person responsible for the post has been identified," district Superintendent Dr. Alexis McGloin said on the district's Facebook page. "When the post originated, it was made on a closed group of 79 students from an anonymous source that was attached to a picture of a student potentially of middle to early high school age."

McGloin said the post was made on Instagram and cited users anonymity as a road block when officials were attempting to identify the person who posted the threat.
"We need to work together, as a community, to create a safe and supportive learning environment," McGloin said. "We ask that you please discuss the day’s events with your child, emphasizing the seriousness of this situation and the impact their on-line interactions can have on themselves, their friends, family and community."

6abc said cited law enforcement sources who said the threat of a shooting led to the closure of the Upper Perkiomen School District on Monday.
School officials received the threat on Sunday night, and the message allegedly indicated that someone would "shoot up" the high school, according to the report.
State police said the threat came via social media posting, which was removed quickly, at about 1:15 a.m. Monday.
Police said they are working to recover the original post, which shows screen shots of an anti-gun violence video.
The Upper Perkiomen School District said it was closing schools, citing safety issues.
