Area residents -- and eventually the sun -- come out for the second annual opening

Some familiar businesses -- including Joe Paws, Ridge Valley Farm and Pure Scents Candle Company -- returned for Collegeville Farmers Market's opening day, but there were new faces as well among the more than 20 stalls that set up shop Saturday, May 5.

In addition to shopping from local vendors, visitors could also listen to live music from Kendal Conrad and stop by the children's play area.

The Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 460 E. Main St., Collegeville.
