Fire Damages Skippack Dwelling
No injuries reported; structure was undergoing refurbishment
Area fire crews controlled a Skippack house fire in less than hour early Friday afternoon, Feb. 3.
The residents of 4991 Skippack Pike have been living elsewhere as their home undergoes repiars/refurbishments. Workers were using a wood stove for heat this morning, and the fact that the structure's chimney is against the rafters helped start the blaze shortly before noon, according to Skippack Fire Chief Haydn Marriott IV.
No workers or firefighters were injured.
