Free Cone Day At Perkiomen Valley Area Dairy Queens

There might still be snow on the ground, but Monday is the first day of spring. Celebrate with a free cone from Dairy Queen.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY, PA -- Don't let the day pass you by without grabbing your free ice cream.

This Monday, March 20, participating Dairy Queen locations are offering each customer one free small vanilla cone. During the promotion, Dairy Queen asks for donations to the Children's Miracle Network.

Diary Queen is located on 345 Main Street in Trappe.

It's the 76th year Dairy Queen is holding its special event.

Barry Westrum, executive vice president of marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation, told Yahoo Finance that DQ raised $140,000 in one day in 2015, averaging about 1,330 cones per store. He said he hopes to surpass those numbers this year.

According to its website, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals "was established nationally in 1983 to help children by actively supporting improved health care for millions of young people around the world. CMNH's mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, now numbering more than 170 nationwide."
