Keeping the Memory Alive: Annual Sandy Sellers Copley 5K
Family, friends gearing up for second fundraiser
On June 25, 2011, Sandy Sellers Copley's family and friends raised nearly $6,000 for St. Jude's Children Research Hospital by lacing up for a 5K, which was held in her honor on the one-year anniversary of her death from cancer.
Charlotte Sellers, Sandy's mother, has worked tirelessly to keep Sandy's memory alive and to fulfill her wish, "No child should ever have cancer.”
"My biggest desire is for no one to forget Sandy. Her name and her love of children would live on with this event every year," Charlotte wrote on the official website, Sandy's Wish.
