Local Organizations Provide School Supplies to Children of Residents in Need
Local churches, civic organizations, businesses and individuals provide donations of school supplies to local children of residents in need.

Local churches, civic organizations, businesses and individuals have been providing donations of school supplies this summer for local children of residents in need. Anne Ryan has been coordinating this event that supports the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry for six years. Anne and a team of local volunteers have been collecting, storing, sorting, and staging the donations at the Heidelberg United Church of Christ, in Schwenksville. Recently this team created the first batch of individual bags containing school supplies, and loaded them as well as new donated backpacks into large plastic totes for delivery to The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry. The Food Pantry will then distribute them to local children of residents in need. According to their website “The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry is the fourth largest food pantry Montgomery County, serving approximately 300 families or 1,200 individuals each month. The pantry serves a broad area in Montgomery County – from the northern reaches of Perkiomenville and Gilbertsville to the southern areas of Collegeville and Eagleville.” Anne, the team of volunteers, and The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry greatly appreciate the generosity of the all those who provided donations.
