New 'Animal Law' Disturbs Montgomery County Pet Owners: Report
Do you own "too many" pets?

A new ordinance in Lower Pottsgrove says that the size of your property determines how many pets you may own, according to a Pottstown Mercury report.
The ordinance is not effect in any other municipalities except for Lower Pottsgrove.
The ordinance arose from numerous complaints in the town about barking dogs, among other animal issues, the report states.

A limit of four dogs, cats, or similar domesticated animals is allowed on a lot of at least two acres, according to the report.
For larger lots, the limit is six animals, the report states.

The number of rabbits is also limited to six, according to the report.
