Norristown 'Owl Prowl' Teaches Kids To Learn Owl Calls

Owl pairs are courting in Norristown and are calling back and forth now, naturalists say.

The Norristown Farm Park will hold an ”Owl Prowl” event on December 6 at 4 p.m.

The event will allow adults and children 12 and up to walk with a park naturalist and listen for the owl calls.

Participants will learn how to distinguish an owl call, and if lucky, spot them in their habitat.

All participants are asked to wear sturdy walking shoes as some areas will be off the trail. It’s also advised to bring binoculars if you have them.

The program is free but pre-registration is required. Please call 484-250-6633 to register.

The group will meet in Parking Lot #3 at the Farm Park.
